Karleen "Ki" Sproat

Karleen “Ki” Sproat age 72 of Ashley, Michigan died January 18, 2008 at Ashley Care Center in Ashley, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Jana Jirak & Pastor Diane Gordon will officiate with burial at North Star Cemetery North Star, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday 4-8 P.M. and Monday 2-8 with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Ki was born in Alma, Michigan on November 6, 1935 the daughter of Bruce & Bernice (Clark) Gallup. She resided most of her life in Ashley, Michigan and graduated from Ashley High School with the class of 1953. She had worked at the North Star Golf Course for many years, and was an avid golfer. She was a member of the Ithaca Women’s Bowling Association where she served as secretary for 22 years. She was the first woman inducted into the Ithaca Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She bowled in many state and national tournaments. Karleen was a member of Ashley United Methodist Church, and served as treasure for many years.

She is survived by son, Scott Sproat of California, and many good friends and neighbors. She is predeceased by her parents and grandparents.
