Katherine M. Latz age 76 of Elsie, Michigan, died Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso, Michigan. Funeral services will be on Monday, March 28, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery, Elsie, Michigan. Pastor Rob McPherson will officiate and visitation will be Saturday 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and Sunday 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Katherine was born July 18, 1928 in Owosso, Michigan, the daughter of Gilbert & Ella ( Luft ) Wildermuth. She graduated from Owosso High School with the class of 1946, she attend and graduated from Beauty School for Cosmetology. She resided most of her life in the Elsie area.
On October 22, 1949 she married Albert Latz in Owosso, Michigan, Albert predeceased her on January 31, 1997. Katherine was a homemaker who enjoyed aerobic swimming, quilting, painting & cooking. She especially enjoyed & loved her grandchildren. She was a former member of the Shiawassee County Library Board, and was a 4-H Leader.
Survivors include, 3 daughters Rebecca & Keith Keck, of Pleasant Hill, California, Susan & Mark Casler, of Ovid, Michigan, Nancy & Dave Roberts of Belmont, Michigan, 1 son, David & Virginia Latz of Jackson, Michigan, 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Dorothy & Clyde LeValley of
Owosso, Michigan, Rose & Richard Latz of Chapin, Michigan, Helen & Louis Kunkel of Ovid, Michigan, 1 brother, Gilbert & Sally Wildermuth of Owosso, Michigan.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 1 son, Donald, 1 daughter Jane & 1 brother Loren. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donora�(TM)s choice.
