Katherine "Kathy" Thomas

Katherine K. "Kathy" Thomas, age 67, of Elsie, MI passed away peacefully Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, Lansing, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Ronald Lovell officiating.  Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery Elsie, MI.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. and on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Kathy was born in Flint, Michigan on October 26, 1948, the daughter of Fred J. and Bernice C. (Chismn) Robinson.  Kathy married John Thomas on March 15, 1965 in Corunna.  John passed away on October 29, 2012.  She resided most of her life in Elsie.

Kathy worked for Lear Corporation from 1969-2006.  Spending time with her family brought her great joy.  Kathy loved to cook and work in the garden.  She will always be remembered for opening her heart and home to those in need and as a loving caregiver.  Kathy was a member of Fenmore Baptist Church Elsie, MI.

She is survived by her son John and Teresa Thomas of Perry, MI, daughter Camie and Jeff Chapko of Elsie, MI, daughter Michelle and Kurt Tullar of St. Johns, MI, son Rob and Terri Thomas of Chesaning, MI, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, brother Charles Robinson of St. Johns, MI, and sister Betty Blosser of Swartz Creek, MI.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and many friends.  Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 12 siblings, many nieces, nephews and friends.
