Kathleen Ryan

Kathleen Ryan died August 29, 2011, at the age of 89. Born June 10, 1922, in Sheldon, Illinois, the daughter of William and Rebecca (Sowders) Wickiser. Kathleen formerly worked for Redmonds in Ithaca, she attended the Congregational Christian Church in Maple Rapids and was a member of Church of Christ in Sheldon, IL. On February 19, 1949, she married John Ryan and he preceded her in death July 27, 1989.

Kathleen is survived by one son, Lee (Patricia) Duttenhaver of Maple Rapids, ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, son-in-law, Jerry (Shirley) Cairl, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Cairl, four grandsons, Steven, Alan, Tracy and Randy Cairl, and four sisters, Maude Farney, Louise Whitney, Joan Follick, and Pearl Benjamin.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2011, at the Abbott Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes, Maple Rapids, burial at Payne Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Kissling officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
