Kathleen Elizabeth Stinson, age 84, of Owosso, MI passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 1:00 PM, Rev. Cal Emerson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 from 6-8 P.M. and Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, MI.
Kathleen was born in Owosso, Michigan on September 26, 1924, the daughter of Jay and Flossie (Welch) Stewart. Kathleen married Eugene Stinson on August 12, 1943 in Oregon. He passed away in July 25, 1983. Katie resided most of her life in Owosso. Katie loved to cook, play cards & travel. She also loved to share her sense of humor with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Genia and Dave Kerby of Slidell, LA, son Rick Stinson of Owosso, MI, son Randy and Sandy Stinson of Owosso, MI, daughter Terri and Jim Schutt of Greenwood, IN, 7 grandchildren; Robert Kerby, D'Ann Edl, Jeremy Rodger, Troy Stinson, Tori Winiarski, Jennifer Rakow & Kim Taylor, 13 great-grandchildren, and brother Dick Stewart of Corunna, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 grandsons, Trent Stinson & Christopher Schutt as well as 3 sisters & 3 brothers.
