Kathryn Heinze

Kathryn Jean “Katie” Heinze, age 14, of Elsie, MI passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at her home with her family by her side.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Wes Coffey officiating.  Burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery, Fairfield Township, MI.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Kathryn was born in Owosso, Michigan on November 21, 2001, the daughter of Timothy and Elizabeth (Tyler) Heinze.

Katie loved cheerleading, Hello Kitty, U of M, Disney, music and dancing. Her favorite color was green. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, family and going to football games. Katie was in Carrie Johnson's room at Clinton County RESA, St. Johns, MI.  She attended Gracepointe Wesleyan Church, Owosso, MI.

She is survived by her parents Timothy and Elizabeth Heinze, sisters; Serina and Faith Heinze, grandparents; Debra Heinze of Elsie, MI, Jack and Kathy Tyler of Elsie, MI, Charles Heinze of Gillette, WY, great grandmother Carol Watson of Elsie, MI, 2 aunts; Rebecca and Daniel Guyski of Elsie, MI, Donna Tyler of Ovid, MI, uncle Shayne and Debbie Tyler of Elsie, MI, cousins; Alex, Jacinda and Shelbie, and special family friends Joe and Holly Sharpe of Fort Bragg, NC.  She was preceded in death by her brother Tyler Watson Heinze, great grandparents; Richard Watson, Eugene and Irene Heinze, Robert and Dorothy Harmon, and Thelma Tyler.
