Kathy Lynn Vasilenko age 46 of St. Johns, Michigan died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyrila�(TM)s Catholic Church, Bannister on Tuesday December 27, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 25, 2005 from 6-8 P.M. and Monday 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Rosary will be prayed Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Kathy was born in Lansing, Michigan on August 15, 1959 the daughter of Louis & Christina ( Ochodnicky ) Palus. She resided most of her life in Clinton County, Michigan and graduated from Ovid Elsie High School. Kathy married James Vasilenko on September 27, 2003 in Owosso, Michigan. She was raised a member of St. Cyrila�(TM)s Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan. Kathy had worked for Mid Michigan Collection Bureau in St. Johns, Michigan. She enjoyed playing golf and traveling, especially to California for wine tasting, and to Mexico and Wyoming.

She is survived by her husband James Vasilenko of St. Johns, Michigan, 1 daughter Jenny & Troy Thelen of Lansing, Michigan, 1 son Paul Hunt of St. Johns, Michigan, her mother Christina Palus of Elsie, Michigan, 3 sisters; Mary & Dale Terryberry of Charlouix, Michigan, Vicki Peak of Cedar Springs, Michigan, Kristie & Marty Peet of Ithaca, Michigan, 2 brothers Joseph & Trudy Palus of Elsie, Michigan, and Louis Palus Jr. of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is predeceased by her father in November 2005.

Memorials can be made to Memorial Healthcare Cancer Center, Owosso, Michigan. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
