Katral Stevens

Katral M. Stevens, 38, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Ovid, MI, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at Woodland Hospice House, Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 2:00 P.M.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ovid, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Katral was born in Owosso, MI on September 21, 1981, the daughter of Randy and Julie (Tomlinson) Buckley. She graduated from Ovid Elsie High School. Katral married James Stevens in October of 2001.

Growing up, Katral spent lots of time with her grandma and grandpa at the family cottage.  She was very close to her sister Kayla, and loved spending time with friends and family. Katral was talented when it came to doing friends and family's hair and make up. She liked animals and enjoyed music, especially rap and classic rock.

She is survived by children: Tryton and Tehya Stevens, both of Lake Isabella, MI; husband James Stevens of Mt. Pleasant, MI; mother Julie Buckley of Mt. Pleasant, MI; grandmother Alice Buckley of Lake Isabella, MI; uncle Kenny Tomlinson of St. Johns, MI; aunt Cindy (John) Burleson of Lake Isabella, MI; and mother-in-law Mary Stevens of Chapin, MI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters and brothers in law.  She was preceded in death by her dad Randy, sister Kayla Buckley, grandpa Arthur Buckley, and her father in law.
