Kendra Mahar

Kendra Joanne (Paksi) Mahar, age 51, passed away on September 11, 2014. She was born on April 23, 1963, in Temple, Texas, the daughter of Robert and Joyce (Heibeck ) Paksi. Kendra enjoyed fishing, theatre, music and crafts. She was a social worker for the Salvation Army and it gave her great joy in helping others. Kendra married Kayle Mahar on March 8, 1986, and he survives her.

Also surviving are their children, Erica (Michael) Roberts, Jeffrey Allen Mahar and Joshua Gordon Mahar, three grandchildren, Kaidyn, Sophia and Estella Roberts, parents, Robert and Joyce Paksi, brother, Robert (Christine) Paksi, sister, Michelle (Richard) Swinson, nieces and nephews, Jessica Vasquez, Ricky Swinson and Rheanna Swinson. Kendra was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Gordon and Lela Mahar.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 15, 2014, at the Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., St. Johns, with Dan and Amy Voss officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the family in memory of Kendra.
