Kenneth Ackels

Kenneth R. Ackels, age 79, of Lansing, MI passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Mother Teresa House in Lansing, MI.

Kenneth's wishes were to be cremated with no funeral service.

Kenneth was born in Gratiot County, MI on August 1, 1934, the son of R.B. and Margaret (Kesteloat) Ackels. Kenneth married Noreen L. Newell on June 13, 1959. He was a retired Supervisor from General Motors.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Noreen Ackels of Lansing, MI, daughter Terry Ann Ackels of Lansing, MI, son Todd and Pamela Ackels of Ovid, MI, 2 grandchildren; Duncan Ackels and Lily Ackels, 4 sisters; Maxine Sovis of Elsie, MI, Josephine Perrault of Lapeer, MI, Shirley Price of Flint, MI, Carol and Harold Franks of Frankfort, MI, 2 brothers; Keith Ackels of Lansing, MI, Gary and Dorothy Ackels of Elsie, MI, and several nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, sister Beverly Lawler, 2 brothers; Jerry and James Ackels and step-brother Willard Ackels.
