Kenneth Glen Bentley, born on September 4, 1933 was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on July 26, 2022.
Ken loved the Lord, his family and his beautiful wife Marilyn (Winsor). They met in high school and had 70 amazing years of marriage together. They raised their 4 children: Kenneth (Melanie) Bentley of St. Johns, Tomas (Terri) Bentley of St. Johns, Katherine Bentley, and Sandra (Bob) Thurston of Columbia, TN.
In addition to his wife and family, Ken loved to spend time fishing, hunting, carving and playing cards. He retired from General Motors after 31 years and enjoyed tinkering in his barn, hunting morel mushrooms and exploring the U.S. and Canada. He was a man who could fix anything and often did. Ken was a man of his word.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Lee, his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Ken was loved by all that knew him including his 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and his great-great-grandchildren.
His church family and friends were also very important to him and he spent many years serving at the Ithaca Wesleyan Church at 712 N. Pine River Street.
A Celebration of Life will be held there on Saturday, August 20, 2022. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon to follow. Anyone who enjoyed hunting with Ken is invited to wear camouflage clothing.
Ken was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle, brother and friend who will be missed by all that loved him. Until we meet again….
