Kenneth Orville "Ken" Berger, Jr.

     Kenneth Orville Berger, Jr., age 82 of Owosso, MI, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023.

     Kenneth was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 11, 1940, the son of Kenneth Orville and Frances Rebecca (Beltz) Berger.  He was a graduate of Clay High School in Ohio and graduated from Michigan State University.  Ken was a member of the MSU Marching Band.  On July 8, 1967, he married Nancy Jean Holton in Owosso, MI.  Ken and Nancy were married fifty-five years.

     He taught for Durand Area Schools as the Vocational Agricultural and Earth Sciences Teacher.  Ken was a lifelong farmer.  He enjoyed photography and model trains as hobbies.  Ken was an early member of the MSU Railroad Club which became the 1225 Trust that moved the Pere Marquette Steam Locomotive to Owosso, MI.

     Ken is survived by his wife Nancy Berger of Owosso, MI; son Aaron Berger of Elsie, MI; son David Berger of Elsie, MI; grandson Jacob Berger of Traverse City, MI.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
