Kenneth Steven Parks age 45, of Mt. Pleasant, MI died Monday, October 13, 2008 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 11:00 AM, Pastor Michael Kler will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis.
Kenneth was born in Alma, Michigan on January 16, 1963, the son Kenneth and Margaret (Dunevant) Parks. He graduated St. Louis High School with the class of 1981. Kenneth married Angelana Adoura on February 4, 1983 in Ithaca, MI. They had just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. He resided most of his life in the St. Louis area, and also resided in Gaylord and Mt. Pleasant. Kenneth worked for several gas and oil companies, the latest at Lease Management Inc. in Mt. Pleasant. He loved his time with them and loved the people who he worked for and with. He loved watching the leaves change in the fall, and loved the outdoors. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Angelana Parks of Mt. Pleasant, MI, 4 daughters; Kristin Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Brianna Parks of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Natasha Parks of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Tearra Parks of Mt. Pleasant, MI, son Donovan Parks of Mt. Pleasant, MI, 2 grandchildren; Kyla Anderson of Ithaca, MI and Ian Mason Resetz of Mt. Pleasant, MI, parents Kenneth and Margaret Parks of Alma, MI, 2 sisters; LuAnne and Nelson Mead of Ithaca, MI, Pam & Darryl Fowler of St. Louis; 2 sisters in law Kathy Shattuck of Tennessee, Andrea O'Brien of Georgia, and 3 brothers in law; James Taylor of MI, Ronald Taylor of Michigan and Richard Taylor of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his sister Kimberly Parks, both maternal and paternal grandparents, and his mother in law Delorouse Williams.
