Kenneth Henry Schroeder, age 82, of Owosso, MI died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Carole Brown will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 from 5-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Kenneth was born in Owosso, Michigan on April 16, 1928, the son of Ralph H. and Kathleen R. (Foote) Schroeder. He graduated Owosso High School with the class of 1945. Kenneth married Donna Steinacker on May 28, 1954 in Owosso, MI. Ken was a lifelong resident of Owosso, and lifelong dairy farmer. He was a Past Owosso Township Trustee, and a member of Burton United Methodist Church. Ken was a lifelong supporter of the Shiawassee County Fairgrounds. He was an avid hunter, and always looked forward to the deer hunting season at his Upper Peninsula deer camp. Ken was very family orientated, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Donna Schroeder of Owosso, MI, daughter Diana (Frank) Thaler of Owosso, MI, grandchildren; Heather (Eric) Coleman of Owosso, MI, Tyler Thaler of Alexandria, VA, Tanner Thaler of Owosso, MI, 2 great grandchildren; Tate and Lacey Coleman of Owosso, MI, brother Dean and Carmen Schroeder of Jasper, AR, and sister Jacqueline Hevelhurst of Yuma, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Carl Joseph Schroeder.
