Kenneth Schulze

Kenneth James “Jim” Schulze age 74, of Maple Rapids, MI, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at his home.

Jim was born in St. Johns, MI, on May 29, 1944, the son Kenneth A. and Margurite (Marge) A. (Monroe) Schulze. He attended Fulton Schools and served his country in the United States Army as a helicopter mechanic in Germany.  He worked for the village of Maple Rapids DPW for many years.  He also loved serving as a volunteer fireman for the Maple Rapids Fire Department.  Jim was a member of the Maple Rapids United Methodist Church.

Jim was an avid car enthusiast.  He loved going to car shows and showing his El Camino which had first belonged to his dad.  He really enjoyed watching NASCAR races.

He is survived by a brother Karl (Shari) Schulze of Fowler, four nephews, their families and his longtime companion, Robin Hattis, of Maple Rapids.  Jim was preceded in death by both of his parents and his only sister Sharon E. Schulze.

Following Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Service will be held at Maple Rapids Methodist Church, Maple Rapids, MI on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.
