Kenneth Wayne Wilson

     Kenneth Wayne Wilson, age 85, of Elsie, MI, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Ashley Care Center, Ashley, MI.
     A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, with Pastor Kathy Leydorf-Keck officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Riverside Cemetery Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
     Kenneth was born in Maple Rapids, MI on May 20, 1939, the son of Devillo and Nettie (Dobson) Wilson. He was a graduate of Fulton High School. Ken married Donna L. Bellingar on July 2, 1960, in Maple Rapids, MI.
     Ken retired from Sealed Power in St. Johns after 30 years then opened Ken's Saw Sharpening which he ran for another 31 years. Ken enjoyed conversing with the guys and drinking coffee that came to his shop for saw sharpening. He spent every minute he wasn't working, hunting and fishing. Spending time with his grandchildren brought him the greatest joy. Ken has been going to the Upper Peninsula every year since he was fourteen years old.
     He is survived by his wife Donna Wilson of Elsie, MI; daughter Darlene Sheldon of St. Johns, MI; son Doug and Eddie Jo Wilson of Elsie, MI; son Kayle and Kelly Wilson of Owosso, MI; 6 grandchildren: Michael Sheldon, Tyler Sheldon, Jessica (Josh) Stebner, Ashley Wilson, Kameron Wilson, and Kendall Wilson; great-granddaughter Sawyer Stebner; his sister Doris Parks of Maple Rapids, MI; and sister-in-law Connie Ida of Harrison, MI. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his son Kevin Wilson, his siblings: Florine (Robert) Miller, Mary Lou (Ivan) Smith, Wheeler (Shirley) Wilson, nephew Steve Wilson, and brother-in-law Lauren Parks.
