Kenneth Duane "Ken" Yordy

     Kenneth Duane "Ken" Yordy, age 84, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Rosewood Adult Foster Care, Ithaca, MI.

     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI, at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, June 29, 2023 with Mr. Mark Monroe officiating. Burial will take place at Collier Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

   Ken was born in St. Johns, Michigan on November 22, 1938, the son of Charles and Mary (Kauffman) Yordy. He graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School in St. Johns with the class of 1957.  Ken married Bonnie (Glazier) Smith on March 25, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca.

    Ken enjoyed gardening; jig saw puzzles, woodworking and eating ice cream. He was known for his thriftiness and was always searching for the best deal. Ken liked spending time at the Ithaca Senior Center and playing cards with friends. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his willingness to help out wherever he could. He attended the First Presbyterian Church, Ithaca, MI.

   He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Smith of Ithaca, daughters: Cheryl and Mike Richmond of Ithaca, Carolyn Yordy of Alma, Cathy Cameron of Ithaca, son, Charles and Kim Yordy of Alma, Bonnie's daughters: Sharon and Jim Froom of Kalamazoo, Cecille and Jim Bowen of Sumner, Yvonne and Rod Sherman of Florence, KY, Valorie and Gary Melow of Ithaca and sister, Bertha and John Stevens of St. Johns. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris Yordy.

     Memorials may be made to the Ithaca Senior Activity Building.
