Kevin Ladiski

Kevin Edward Ladiski, age 38 of Elsie, Michigan, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, Ovid, MI, on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. A private burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Kevin was born in Carson City, Michigan on September 7, 1977, the son of Edward and Theresa (Heckman) Ladiski. He was a graduate of Ovid- Elsie High School with the class of 1996. Kevin married Heather Wotring on August 17, 2013 at the Peacock Road Tree Farm in Laingsburg. He resided all of his life in Elsie.  Kevin enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing horseshoes. He was a talented singer; singing with his brothers is what he loved most. Kevin was active with the Elsie Village Council and helped to coordinate the Free Fall Festival. Christmas was his favorite time of the year. He also loved farming.  He was an avid sports fan, especially the Spartans and Tigers. Kevin will be remembered most for his caring heart and willingness to help others. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Heather Ladiski, 2 daughters; Abigail and Rachel Ladiski, father Ed Ladiski, sister Cheryl and Shawn Premo, 2 brothers; Jim and Jessi Ladiski, & Randy Ladiski, father-in-law Craig Wotring, 2 brothers-in-law; Rob and Becky Wotring, & Eric Wotring and Erin Dittmer.  Kevin is also survived by his nieces & nephew Breanna & Brooke Ladiski, and Lucas Wotring and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Kevin was preceded in death by his mother Theresa on April 13, 2015 and mother-in-law Debra Wotring on November 7, 1990.
