Larry B. Dilday

      Larry B. Dilday, age 87, of DeWitt, MI, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Stoneleigh Residence, Lansing, MI. 

      A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Baptist Church, DeWitt, MI, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Shawn Smith officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. 

      Larry was born in Martin, Tennessee on July 16, 1936, the son of Hassel B. and Margrette D. (Sadler) Dilday.  He married Linda Pollok on July 12, 1973, in Lansing, Michigan and they have been married for 50 years. 

      Larry owned Dilday Auto Sales in DeWitt. He then obtained certification to sell firearms and referred to his business as Dilday Guns and Cars.  Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a lifetime member of the Capital Area Sportsmen's League and was very proficient at shooting sporting clays. 

      He is survived by his wife Linda Dilday of DeWitt, MI; daughter Denise and Al Dow of Florida; daughter Kelly Blitch of California; son Mark Dilday and Allison Grutter of Lansing, MI; 3 grandchildren:  Christopher Dotson, Erin (Mike) Lynn, and Rachel Blitch; brother Joel Dilday of St. Johns, MI; sister Betty and Ed Martin of California; sister Judie Corzine of California; sister Diane Dilday of California; sister Marsha and David Willsey of Alabama.   Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Elaine Dilday.
