Larry Webster

Larry David Webster age 73 of Elsie, MI, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Elsie United Methodist Church, Elsie, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 10, 2017, with Mr. David Dunham officiating. Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery in Eureka, Michigan.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 6-8 P.M. and Wednesday, August 9, 2017 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, 104 East Cass Street, St. Johns, Michigan.

Larry was born in St. Johns, Michigan on December 3, 1943, the son of Glenn David and Marjorie Lois (Taylor) Webster. He graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1962. On January 19, 1963 he married Catherine L. Carroll at the Elsie United Methodist Church.

Larry was a dairy farmer at heart. He also was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling; just about anything you can do outside. His family was very important to him and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He served on the DHIA board he also served on the UDIM board and on the advisory board of MMPA. Larry and Cathy enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years.

He is survived by his wife Cathy Webster of Elsie, MI; daughter  Michelle and Jeff Hammond of Elsie, MI; 3 grandchildren Kelvin Webster, Justin Webster,  and Madison Webster;  mother Marjorie Webster; brothers Jim and Lassie Webster,  Mack Webster, and Lynn and Joann Webster; 3 sisters Debbie and Paul Hebeler, Sandy Williams, Lori Webster and Cheryl Carlson.   He was predeceased by his father Glenn, son Wayne, mother and father in law Gerald & Juanita Carroll.
