Laura Pumford

Laura Sue Pumford, age 43, of Bannister, MI passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Tom Pumford Jr. officiating.  Visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home and on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service.

Laura was born in Carson City, Michigan on February 25, 1972, the daughter of John and Barbara (Kleeman) Parker.  She graduated from Ovid Elsie High School with the class of 1990.  Laura married Douglas Pumford on November 4, 1995 in Bannister, MI.  Laura loved horses, gardening and collecting Precious Moments. She enjoyed connecting with friends and family through social media.  Laura also loved spending time up to the lake at the cabin. Her children were her world and she enjoyed attending their activities.

She is survived by her husband Doug Pumford of Bannister, MI, children; Ashley and Caleb Pumford of Bannister, MI, parents Barb and John Parker of Ovid, MI, sister Sherry and Steve Palatka of St. Johns, MI, brother Josh and Cori Parker of Ovid, MI, mother in law Barbara Pumford of Bannister, MI, brothers and sisters in law; Tom and Cathy Pumford of Bannister, MI, Dan and Vicky Pumford of Bannister, MI, Debbie and Gordy Phillips of Rootstown, OH, Lee and Debbie Pumford of Wellston, MI, Lynette Hymer and Mike Behrenbrinker of Laingsburg, MI, and  Wendy and Dave Kirinovic of Ovid, MI.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Alfred and Doylene Kleeman, Robert and Lois Parker, father in law Thomas Pumford, Sr. and several uncles.
