Laurence Edward “Larry” Elliott, age 50, of St. Louis, MI passed away Monday, March 21, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center, Alma, with his wife Sara by his side.

Larry was born in Portland, Maine on January 4, 1972, the son of Charles Raymond and Gertrude Louise (Laperriere) Elliott. He graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1990 and was employed at IAC where he worked for over 25 years. Larry married the love of his life, Sara Lynn Umbarger on August 9, 2014, in Alma, MI and they made their home St. Louis, MI.
Larry was a people person who knew someone everywhere he went…and if he didn’t, he was sure to make a new friend before he left. He dearly loved his family and friends, his beloved and much maligned cat, Encore (Lifeofencore, Instagram) …and U of M sports - not necessarily in that order. Larry was a talented dart player, participating in numerous dart leagues over the years and winning many trips to Las Vegas due to his keen eye and steady hand. Larry also had a broad and eclectic love of music, which he shared with Sara. Together they enjoyed traveling and attending concerts around the country. They recently took the “trip of a lifetime” along the west coast of the United States and visited with family and friends along the way, making what we now know are memories that must last the rest of our lives.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sara; siblings: Katheryn Elliott of St. Johns, MI, Brian (Desiree) Elliott of Phoenix, AZ, Susan (Joseph) Czeiszperger of St. Louis, MI, Brenda (Ivan) Tutaan of Santa Rosa, CA, and Geoff Elliott of Mt. Pleasant, MI; father and mother-in-law Delbert and Lori Umbarger; sisters-in-law: Amanda (Joel) Fuentes, and Katie (Joe) Yourchock; nieces and nephews: Cameron, Jared, and Erynn Kolhoff; Brandon, Avery, and Autumn Elliott; Sarah, Emily and Katheryn Czeiszperger; Trevor, Eliza and Meghan Tutaan; and James and Blake Yourchock; he also leaves behind many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry’s final trip was to his revered Ann Arbor (Go Blue!) where he gave the gift of life through organ donation. www.giftoflife.org
