Lawrence O. DeRoche Jr. age 67 of Corunna, Michigan died Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owosso, Michigan on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be on Wednesday 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna chapel and burial will take place at Pine Tree Cemetery, Corunna, Michigan.
Lawrence was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on November 19, 1937 the son of Lawrence & Mildred (LaJoie) DeRoche Sr. he graduated from Ishpeming High School and resided most of his life in the Corunna area. On April 17, 1999 he married Terrilee Sutton at St. Therese Catholic Church in Lansing, Michigan. He worked for GM Truck and Bus Flint Assembly Plant he retired in 1995 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed flower gardening, Running, NASCAR, Football, Red Wings, friends at YMCA and his annual 4th of July party. Lawrence was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owosso, Michigan, the YMCA of Owosso, and he served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Terrilee DeRoche of Corunna, MI, daughter, Yvette & Jeffrey Collard of Owosso, MI, son, Steven & Tammy DeRoche of Corunna, MI, daughter, Monique DeRoche of Owosso, MI, son, Timothy DeRoche of Jamestown, Ohio, daughter, Danielle & Daniel Hain of Owosso, MI, son, Rodney Everett of Owosso, MI, son, Ronald & Janet Everett of Waldorf, Maryland, 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, sister, Sister Teresa Lawrence DeRoche of St. Louis, MO, sister, Anne & Ronald Dompierre of Northfield, MN, sister, Rita & Ronald Sturza, of Clinton Township, MI, sister Alice & Robert LaJoie of Negaunee, MI, brother, Peter & Beth DeRoche of Owosso, MI, brother, Paul & Janice DeRoche of Owosso, MI, sister, Cecilia & Russell Detwiler of Corunna, MI, brother, James DeRoche of Florence, WI, sister in-law, Shirley DeRoche, brother in-law, Paul Dobbs, and special friend Duke Chapman.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother Bernard, and sister Mary Dobbs. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society.
