Lawrence Milton Teegardin, age 80, of St. Louis, MI died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM, Pastor Terri Bentley will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Lawrence was born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on May 9, 1928, the son of Homer and Mary (Davis) Teegardin. Lawrence married Della Marie Moore on May 10, 1946 in St. Louis. Lawrence was a lifelong resident of St. Louis, and was a member of the St. Louis First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golfing, and was a retired farmer. He also worked at Pine River Country Club and Bottom Bros. Oil Co. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, and also with his coffee shop friends at the Cattle Run Cafe.

He is survived by his wife Della Teegardin of St. Louis, MI, daughter Karen and Dave Galloway of St. Louis, MI, grandchildren; Megan Galloway, Nathan Knapp, Jeremy Galloway, and Tim and Sara Bissell. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Adam Bissell, Amber Bissell, Alex Greenup, Megan Greenup, and Madeline Greenup, sister Charlene and Dorcey Harless of Florida, brother in law Denver Moore of Kentucky, brother in law Richard and Myra Moore of Sanford, MI, and sister in law Colene Moore of Clare, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Reg Teegardin, granddaughter Shannan Bissell, 6 brother in law; Alvin Moore, Robert Moore, Vern Moore, Joe Moore, Ralph Moore, and Chet Travis, and 3 sisters in law; Bette Moore, Pauline Travis, and Mary Lou Moore.
