Leola Brady

Leola G. Brady, age 91, died Saturday, March 3, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Hartville, Ohio. Leola was born June 14, 1926 to George & Letha (Moore) Kiteley of Carland, MI. She married Warren J. Brady on October 16, 1944. She was a lifelong resident of Fairfield Township, Elsie, MI, and a winter resident of Zephyrhills, FL.

Her life was one of service to her family and community, centered always around the fact that her Savior, Jesus Christ, was her first and foremost reason for living. She always cared much more about people than things. Leola and Warren’s years at Camp Lakeview, their outreach through Carland-Zion Brethren in Christ Church, Zephyrhills Wesleyan Church, and all the many lives she touched through Mennonite Your Way travel has left a legacy that will not fully be known until the Book is opened in heaven one day.

She is survived by her children, Leon (Connie) Brady, Mary Alice Ford, Ida Brady (Mike Williams), and Faye (David) Wolf. Rejoicing also in her devoted love and care for them are her 8 grandchildren and 17 GREAT grandchildren.  Leola is survived also by her sister LaVonn Siminski, her brother, Charles (Carmen) Kiteley, her sister-in-law Beatrice Gilbert, and brother-in-law, O. Leroy (Connie) Smith.  In addition to her parents Leola was preceded in death by her husband Warren, her son, Wayne, her brother, LaVern Kiteley, and her sister, Idora Ade.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Fairfield Township Cemetery, 4100 Vincent Road, Elsie, MI. A Memorial Service will be held for the community later this year.
