Leona Agnes Hessock, age 71, of Bancroft, MI passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Deacon Gary Edington officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday prior to the service from 11:00-2:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Leona was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 10, 1940, the daughter of Peter and Leona (Johnson) Kromberg. Leona and Del were married October 8, 1966 in Detroit, MI. She resided most of her life in the Detroit suburbs. Leona was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to read, especially Louie L'Amour westerns.
She is survived by her husband Del Hessock of Bancroft, MI, grandson Brandan Hessock of Muskegon, MI, brother Arnold and Diane Kromberg of Fowlerville, MI, and 2 sisters; Donna Lee King of Lake George, MI, Arlene Thorson of Detroit, MI. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, her son Danny Hessock on June 17, 2001 and brother Peter Kromberg.
