LeRoy Sitts

LeRoy Sitts, age 92, of Wheeler, MI, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - St. Louis, MI, at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 5, 2020, with Pastor Lee Rhodes officiating.  Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the services beginning at 12:00 P.M.

LeRoy was born in Wheeler Township, Gratiot County, Michigan on January 15, 1928, the fifth of the ten children of Carl and Edna (Schartiger) Sitts. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

On August 3, 1956, LeRoy married Wilma Cochran. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage prior to her death on October 3, 2013.   LeRoy worked for Alma Products for many years, retiring in 1993. He was a farmer at heart and farmed all of his life.

LeRoy is survived by one sister Shirley Sitts and many nieces and nephews.  LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, wife Wilma, and 8 siblings: Burnis Sitts, Cecil Sitts, Alton Sitts, Fern Cochran, Eilene Lange, Norma Northrup, Ray Sitts, and Harry Sitts.
