Leroy Jay Vincent age 73, of Ovid, MI, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.
Leroy was born in Ovid, MI on November 3, 1945, the son of Ashley Jay and Vera Mae (Varco) Vincent. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Leroy worked for Johnson Controls in Owosso for 27 years. After its closure, he worked for Fuoss Gravel in Owosso until his retirement when he was 62. Leroy lived in the Ovid area all of his life.
Leroy loved to collect antique tractors. He enjoyed going to auctions. He was a lifelong farmer. When younger, Leroy enjoyed participating in tractor pulls.
Leroy is survived by his children: Chris (Becky) Vincent of Ovid, Jeff (Michelle) Vincent of Elsie, and Deanna (Will Stewart) Vincent of Elsie. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Makenna Vincent, Makayla Juderjohn, and Brena Vincent; brother Richard (Wanda) Vincent and sister Margaret Morence. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Carson James Vincent, and 3 siblings: Lenny Vincent, Leon Vincent and Joyce (Don) Babcock.
In following Leroy's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
