Leslie K. Coomer, age 81, of Prescott, MI formerly of Owosso passed away Saturday, June 20th, 2009 at the Veteran's Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Leslie was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on April 4, 1928, the son of James and Lucille (Estes) Coomer. He served in the U.S. Army in WW II and resided most of his life in Michigan moving here from Kentucky in his 20's. Leslie married Kathrine in 1984 in Owosso, MI. He resided in the West Branch area for 14 years. He loved to fish and garden and he owned and operated a junk yard in Shiawassee County and an orange grove in Florida.

Leslie is survived by his wife, Kathrine Coomer of West Branch, MI; 4 daughters, Brenda and Denny Carpenter of Flushing, MI; Lucy and Gene Hargis of Spartanburg, SC; Sylvia and Ted Evans of Cleveland, TN; Stacy of Cleveland, TN; step-children Barbara and Joel Nadon of Ashland City, TN; Richard Doty of Prescott, MI; Michael and Tina Doty of Alger, MI; Aliceia Robledo of Sweetwater, TN; Robin Lohrer of Prescott, MI; brother, JT Coomer of Lennon, MI also sister,
Mary and Gary Daley of Columbus, IN. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren also many nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, sons Jamie & Jeff Coomer also sister, Anna May Dewitt, brothers, Wallace, Bobby, Billy & Leo Coomer.
