Lester Victor Feldpausch age 95 of Fowler, MI, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 peacefully at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler, MI, on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10:30 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Douglas Osborn officiating.  Burial will take place at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery Fowler, MI.  Visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Goerge Chapel, Fowler, MI.  A Rosary will be prayed Monday at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Lester was born in Fowler, Michigan on June 10, 1921, the son of William and Amelia (Fink) Feldpausch.  Lester served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II, a member of the Seabees in the 63rd Naval Construction Battalion.  Lester married Rose Smith on April 10, 1944 in Westpahalia, MI.  They had a double wedding, where Rose and her twin sister Pauline, married Lester and his brother Carl.

Lester loved hunting, fishing, woodworking, playing cards and anything outdoors.  Spending time with his family brought him great joy.  He took great pride in his yard and loved his lawnmower.  After Lester retired from Hi-Ball Crane Company, he and Rose wintered in Florida for over 20 years.  They enjoyed the warm weather and fishing in the lakes.  Lester was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler VFW, and the Fowler Conservation Club.  He resided all of his life in Fowler.

Lester is survived by his wife of 72 years Rose Feldpausch of Fowler, MI, sons; Brian and Joyce Feldpausch of Fowler, MI, Dan and Diane Feldpausch of St. Johns, MI, daughters; Judith and Lawrence Pierce of St. Johns, MI, Joyce and Richard Miller of Fowler, MI, LuAnn and Bob Doriot of Traverse City, MI, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, sister Doris Klein of Fowler, MI, sisters-in-law; Adeline Feldpausch of St. Johns, MI, and Agnes Schomisch, of Fowler, MI.  Lester was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers; Norbert Feldpausch and Carl Feldpausch.
