Lewis T. "Lewie" Wilson age 73 of Elsie, Michigan died Thursday, December 9, 2004 at Carson City Hospital, Carson City, Michigan. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December, 9, 2004 at 11:00 A.M at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Rev. Diane Gordon and Mrs. Kathy Leydorf will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 11, 2004 from 4-8 P.M. and Sunday, December 12, 2004 from 2-8 with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
Lewis was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 6, 1931 the son of Wallace & Ethel (Wise) Wilson. He attended Bannister United Methodist Church and was a member of Prairie Baptist Church in Noblesville, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Wilson of Elsie, MI, three daughters Kathy Wilson of Elsie, MI, Julie & Brian Wolfe of Ashley, MI, Wendy Wilson of Muskegon, MI, one son Tom & Jessie Wilson of Ashley, MI, three grandchildren Seth, Kimberly and Jenna, three sisters Louise Edwards of Indiana, Midge Tolman of Indiana, Cheri Wilson of Michigan, and one brother Raymond Wilson of Indiana
Memorials may be made to Bannister United Methodist Church. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
