Libbie A. Houska age 87 of St. Johns, Michigan died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor St. Johns, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel on Friday, March 17, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Rev. George Brinley and Mr. Thomas Bradley will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2006 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Libbie was born in Deerbrook, Wisconsin on July 25, 1918 the daughter of Joseph and Antonia (Sykora) Dinstbier. Libbie married Frank Houska Jr. of Ashley, Michigan on October 23, 1937. He died October 8, 1993. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, needlework, embroidery and reading. She was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge #225.
She is survived by her daughter Pat & Ron Rieves of Dewitt, MI, son Bill & Cindy Houska of Shreveport, LA, 4 grandchildren Roxanne & Jim Gleason of St. Johns, MI, Randy Rieves of Lansing, MI, Ryan Rieves of Colorado Springs, CO, Tara Poche of Wichita Falls, TX, 1 great granddaughter Kaitlyn Gleason of St. Johns, MI, and 1 brother Edward & Marie Dinstbier of St. Johns, MI. She is predeceased by her parents, 2 sisters Bess and Anne, 2 brothers Joseph and John, and 1 great grandson Connor Gleason.
Memorials may be made to ZCBJ Lodge #225. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
