Lila Kruger

Lila Marie Kruger, age 68, of St. Johns, MI passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held at Grove Bible Church, St. Johns, Michigan on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 3:00 P.M., with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service.

Lila was born in Lansing, Michigan on April 8, 1946, the daughter of Lyle Duane and Mildred Glenna (Tidd) Root. She graduated from Bath High School with the class of 1964. Lila married Donald Kruger on March 26, 1966 in Lansing, Michigan.

Lila enjoyed camping, fishing and taking care of her plants. She liked to sew, crochet and do crafts. Lila worked at Sparrow Hospital in the laundry department for 17 years. Lila loved her Jesus, family and her animals. She was a member of Grove Bible Church, St. Johns, MI.

She is survived by her husband Donny Kruger of St. Johns, MI, son Joel and Teresa Kruger of San Antonio, TX, daughter Becky and Jay Peterson of St. Johns, MI, son Nick and Deanna Kruger of Round Rock, TX, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 brother and 3 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, great granddaughter Adrianne Mae and 2 brothers; Dick & Billy.
