Lillian Balcer

Lillian M. ( Montney ) Balcer age 84 of Corunna, Michigan, 55 year soul mate of Frank Balcer passed to her reward on Monday, December 12, 2005 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Dale Lewis will officiate with burial at Wilkinson Cemetery, Venice Township, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 from 6-8 P.M. and Wednesday, December 14, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Lillian was born in South Branch, Michigan on November 9, 1921 the daughter of Joseph and Cordelia ( Odell ) Montney. She resided most of her life in Hale, Lapeer, and Corunna, Michigan. Lillian married Frank Balcer on August 30, 1957 in Lapeer, Michigan. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and her animals. She was a charter member of Flushing Bible Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Frank Balcer of Corunna, MI, son Everett & Thelma Durham of Tonopah, AZ, son Joseph & Rita Durham of Corunna, MI, daughter Denise & Lloyd Putman of Owosso, MI, son Frank & Kathy Balcer of Flushing, MI, son Gerald & Jeanette Balcer of Durand, MI, son Richard Balcer of Corunna, MI, daughter-in-law Clydine Durham of Dickson, TN, 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters; Beulah Barber, Joseph Montney, Jr., John Montney, Hazle Betts, and Walter S. Montney, and special friend Carolyn Dillon of Respite Care Volunteer's. She is predeceased by her parents, son Stanley Durham, granddaughter Siobhan Durham, great grandchild Cameron Ray Karrer, sister Dora Dotson, and brother Carson Montney.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Alzeheimer's Research. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
