Lillian Hudson

Lillian E. Hudson, 86, passed into eternity on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at her home in St. Louis, MI.  Lillian walked through a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer and did so with incredible strength and courage.  She died peacefully surrounded by her adoring family.

Lillian was born to Melvin J. and Leta Ione Porter in Auburn, MI.  She graduated from Handy High School in Bay City and continued to Alma College where she received her degree in teaching.  She began her career in a one room schoolhouse teaching K-12.  After raising her family, she taught various grades at Fellowship Baptist Academy in Carson City.

She married Roger E. Hudson on December 19, 1953, at Auburn United Methodist Church in Auburn, MI.

She is survived by her husband, Roger; children: Sue, Scott, Lynda (Terry) Feichtenbiner, and Amy (Dan) Kallman.  Her nine grandchildren: Paul (Jessica) Hudson, Timothy (Helena) Hudson, Sarah (Eric) Condron, Heidi (Seth) Snyder, Allie (Ben) Vaught, Leah Hudson, Hannah, Hayden and Hadley Moore as well as a passel of 20 great-grandchildren, sister Sharon (Allan) Hooper of Linwood, MI.  Her son, Stephen, preceded her in death as well as brother-in-law, Allan Hooper.  Her family brought deep joy and great pride to her heart and life.

In 1975, after making the decision to know and follow Christ, she inspired her family to do the same.  One woman, one decision impacted many marriages, families, friends and communities for Christ. Lillian is adored and loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Due to COVID-19 and gathering restrictions, a Private Service will be held.
