Lillian Zimmerman

Lillian M. Zimmerman age 90, of Alma, MI, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Arbor Grove Assisted Living, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Dave Perry officiating.  Burial will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Lillian was born in Emerson Township Gratiot County, MI on September 12, 1926, the daughter of Roy and Rose (Carter) Curtis.  She graduated from Breckenridge High School with the class of 1944.

Lillian married Alvin Zimmerman on June 10, 1944, in Sickles, MI. Al passed away on June 7, 2015.

Lillian enjoyed playing games, shopping for a good deal, cooking, crocheting, and cleaning.  She loved to travel and spend her winters in Apache Junction, Arizona with her husband Al. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Robert and Mary Zimmerman of Breckenridge, MI, James and Mary Ann Zimmerman of Ashley, MI, Rosemary and Mike Bailey of Scottsdale, AZ, 6 grandchildren; Kelli and Matt Schmitz of Breckenridge, MI, Molly and Chad Snyder of Breckenridge, MI, Matt and Amanda Zimmerman of Ithaca, MI, Brooke and Jason Colvin of Phoenix, AZ, Maggie Moffett of Breckenridge, MI, Brent Bailey of Los Angeles, CA, and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father George Huntoon, 4 sisters, and 2 brothers.
