Lilly BeAster Sheldon age 90 of St. Johns, Michigan died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel St. Johns, MI on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Daniel Cameron will officiate with burial at Duplain Township Cemetery Duplain Twp., Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Lilly was born in Sumerall, Mississippi on January 11, 1917 the daughter of Isaac Walton and Della Anna ( Davis ) Mills. She resided most of her life in Mississippi, Saginaw, Bridgeport, and St. Johns since 1976. Lilly married Melvin Seymour Sheldon on November 14, 1945. He died in February of 1980. She worked as a seamstress at Dapper Do in Bridgeport, making baby garments, she also worked for Reliance during World War II. She enjoyed doing yardwork including, mowing the lawn. She also enjoyed crocheting, crafts, and fishing, and she loved animals. Lilly attended Duplain Church of Christ and she was a former member of the Warren Avenue Methodist Church, Saginaw, Michigan. She was also a member of the Martha Washington Eastern Star in Saginaw, MI.

She is survived by her daughter Miggie & Neil Hall of St. Johns, MI, 4 grandchildren Dean & Diane Hall of St. Johns, MI, Scott Hall of Ovid, MI, Mark & Laura Hall of Ovid, MI, Craig & Christine Hall of St. Johns, MI, 16 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and 1 brother Malcolm Lavon Mills of Hattiesburg, MS. She is predeceased by her parents and her husband.

Memorials may be made to Duplain Church of Christ Building Fund. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
