Lilly B. Sherman age 79 of St. Louis, MI died Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Rev. Dean Bailey will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2005 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Lilly was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI on November 4, 1925 the daughter of Gilbert and Edna ( Stromsta ) Utley. She resided most of her life in St. Louis, Michigan and graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1943. Lilly married Richard Harold Sherman on October 6, 1949 in Angola, IN. She was the owner and operator of Sherman Restaurant in St. Louis, MI. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading. Lilly also worked at the St. Louis IGA for 15 years as a night manager. She was also a member of the American Legion Womena�(TM)s Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Launstein of Rockford, MI, 2 sons; Dr. Stan & Diana Sherman of Grand Rapids, MI, Steve & Howayda Sherman of Atlanta, GA, daughter Sally & Dan Harry of St. Johns, MI, 8 grandchildren; Chad & Suzette Launstein, Stacie & Leon Saladin, Matt, Amy, Sarah, & Rami Sherman & Alex & Katherine Harry, and 2 great grandchildren; Lauren & Logan. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, son-in-law Lloyd Launstein, 2 brothers, Charles & Gilbert Utley, and 1 sister Evelyn Ferguson.
Memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation of Michigan or Sparrow Regional Medical Supply Alma, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
