Linda Lea Benson, age 59, of St. Louis, MI passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma, MI.
A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 1:00 P.M.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Linda was born in Edmore, Michigan on October 24, 1955, the daughter of Dale and Norma (McCully) Pugsley. She graduated from Carson City High School with the class of 1974. Linda married Leonard Benson on August 24, 1996.
Linda enjoyed singing, knitting, crocheting and attending old car shows. She liked lighthouses and traveling to the East Coast. She loved genealogy, researching her family history and spending time with her family. She worked at Gratiot Community Hospital as a housekeeper for many years, and also at H&R Block preparing taxes in Mt. Pleasant.
She is survived by her sister Julia and Jim Palmer of Riverdale, MI, brother William Pugsley of St. Louis, MI, nephew Joe and Kayla Palmer of Lake Odessa, MI, great nieces and nephew Alexis, Danika and James Palmer, aunt Ava McCully of Stanton, MI. She is also survived by several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, husband, nephew John Shattuck, several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
