Lloyd W. Bearup, age 75, of Ludington, MI died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 11:00 A.M., Rev. Donald Luckhurst will officiate. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 2-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Lloyd was born in Elsie, Michigan on April 1, 1935, the son of Lewis O. and Mary (Frasle) Bearup. He graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1954. He resided most of his life in Gratiot County and Crystal Michigan before moving to Ludington 10 years ago. On August 15, 1998 Lloyd married Linda Ozarowski in Corunna, Michigan in the gazebo he built for their wedding.
Lloyd retired from General Motors in Lansing, Michigan in 1987. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an excellent woodworker. He shared many happy times with his wife fishing, and traveling with his brothers & sisters across the country. Lloyd was a dedicated tailgating football fan at his children and grandchildren's sporting events.
He is survived by his wife Linda Bearup of Ludington, MI, 2 daughters; Robin and Roger Stoddard of Chesaning, MI, Debbie and Jeff Nellis of Ludington, MI, 3 sons; Scott and Debbie Bearup of Ludington, MI, Chad Bearup of Dimondale, MI, Tim and Gayle Ozarowski of LaVergne, TN, 20 grandchildren & 16 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Bertha and Donald Whitaker of Elsie, MI, Joyce and Jerry Kohagen of St. Johns, MI, and 2 brothers; Donald Bearup of Elsie, MI, and Jim & Kathleen Bearup of Elsie, MI. He will be sadly missed by family & friends and his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Angel Lee. He was predeceased by his Parents, sister, Betty Quick, and step son Michael Ozarowski.
