Lloyd Joseph Seifert, age 78, of Ashley, MI died Friday, August 13, 2010 at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing, MI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Ithaca, MI on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Father Jules Spleet will officiate, and burial will follow at North Star Cemetery, North Star, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at St. Paul's Catholic Church. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Lloyd was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on February 27, 1932, the son of Charles and Alice Seifert. He attended schools in Bowling Green, OH and also attended Bowling Green University. He married Marcella Ann Vereecke on September 30, 1961 in Lyons, OH. Lloyd resided in Ashley since 1976. He was owner operator of SCS construction, a farmer, owner of Seifert Truck Stop, and Seifert Excavating. He enjoyed bowling, camping, and spending time with his family and attending their sporting events. He really enjoyed visiting with people. Lloyd was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Ithaca, the Adrian Moose Lodge, and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife Marcella Seifert of Ashley, MI, daughter Mindy and Kent Beracy of Ashley, MI, daughter Becka and Bill Bongard of Ashley, MI, son Mark and Michelle Seifert of Marne, MI, daughter Gina and Eric Wang of Fayetteville, NC, son Jon and Stephanie Seifert of Ashley, MI, daughter Rena and Phil House of St. Johns, MI, daughter Deanna and Steve Hardman of Ashley, MI, 17 grandchildren, and a sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and a sister.
