Loena Brown

Lorena Harriet Brown age 87 of Owosso, Michigan died Monday, January 14, 2008 at Sparrow Regional Medical Center, Lansing, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Tim Reed will officiate with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 2 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.

Lorena was born in Owosso, Michigan on January 29, 1920 the daughter of Oscar and Aleta ( Raymond ) Schultz. She resided most of her life in Owosso, MI and attended Owosso Schools. Lorena married Walter T. Brown in Owosso, Michigan on October 20, 1939. He passed away January 7, 2008. Lorena was the first secretary of Local 754 and a Charter member of the WBC Federal Credit Union. She had previously worked at Redmonds Electric, Universal Electric and Auto Lite Battery Company. She loved spending time at their cabin Up North. Lorena enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, golf, reading, and she never missed a "General Hospital" episode. She also really enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the Lake. Lorena was a member of the Carb Club, Ladies Arbiters Club and J.F.F. Club serving as president and secretary.

She is survived by 3 sons; Terry & Glora Ann Brown of Owosso, MI, Mike & Gloria May Brown of Owosso, MI, Scott & Merry Brown of Perry, MI, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, brother Carl F. (Gladys) Schultz son Paul B. Brown, and grandson Mitch T. Brown.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Healthcare Home Health Agency. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI.
