Logan Orville Tapp age 96 of Flint, Michigan died Monday, May 7, 2007 at Brian's House Hospice Davison, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Friday, May 11, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Russell Hubbard will officiate with burial at Glenwood Cemetery Flint, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Logan was born in Dexter, Missouri on January 21, 1911 the son of William Gordon and Ivah Estella ( Jones ) Tapp. He resided most of his life in the Flint area and attended school in Illmo, Missouri. Logan married Myrtle Elsie ( Wood ) Tapp on June 25, 1933 in Flint, Michigan. She passed away on May 9, 1998. He worked at General Motors in the Chevolet Plant in Flint, MI. He retired on March 1, 1971. Logan was a member of the United Auto Workers.
He is survived by his daughter JoAnn Tapp & Joseph Rodgers of Lennon, MI, sister Marjorie Imogene Massey of Dupo, IL, grandson Bryan Autry of Durand, MI, granddaughter Ann Marie Autry of Lennon, MI, great grandchildren; Amber Nycole Autry of Flint, MI, Ryan Logan Autry of Lennon, MI, and Emily Ann Autry of Lennon, MI, great great grandchild Donavan Rice of Flint, MI, step-son William & Kate Smith of Owosso, MI, and several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, wife, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 1 step-daughter Geraldine Maurer, and 1 granddaughter.
Memorials may be made to Brian's House Hospice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
