Lois Netzley

Lois Arlene Netzley, age 95, of St. Louis, MI passed away Friday, March 27th, 2015 at Masonic Pathways in Alma, MI. Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis chapel on Thursday, April 2nd at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Terri Bentley will officiate. Burial will be at Salt River Cemetery in Shepherd, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Lois was born in Sumner Township, Michigan on September 6, 1919, the daughter of Clarence Eugene and Dora Jane (Hutchinson) Fairchild. She graduated Alma High School with the class of 1937. On January 8, 1938 she married Maynard Sylvester Netzley in Angola, Indiana. Maynard preceded her in death on May 28, 2012. Lois was a dedicated homemaker and farmers wife. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and was a member of First United Methodist Church, St. Louis, MI

Lois is survived by her daughter Rochelle and Ken Ruedger of Alma, MI; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; brother Willis and Jane Fairchild of Elwell, Michigan and a half sister Dannie Lou Fairchild of Elwell, Michigan. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, son and daughter in law, Dennis and Barbara Netzley, a granddaughter, great grandson, and sister Verlyn Hamilton.
