Lola Anderson

Lola C. Anderson age 89 of St. Louis, Michigan died Thursday, March 23, 2006 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Monday, March 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Rev. David McBride will officiate with burial at Emerson Township Cemetery, Emerson Township, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2006 from 2-5 & 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home.

Lola was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on August 7, 1916 the daughter of Byron and Mary Zoma ( Quidort ) Beebe. She was a life long resident of St. Louis, MI. She graduated from Alma High School. She then earned her Bacholer's Degree in Education from CMU. Lola married Emory Anderson in 1957 in North Star, MI. He died on February 2, 1997. She retired from St. Louis Public Schools as an elementary teacher. She enjoyed cooking for her family, yard work, and crocheting. She loved her grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was always known for her genorisity to help people in need. She was an active member of Beebe United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School for many years as well as a member of the United Methodist Womens Group.

She is survived by her son Lowell & Martha Anderson of St. Louis, MI, 5 grandchildren; David Beuthin of Alma, MI, Amy & John Vandervane of Midland, MI, Steven Anderson of St. Louis, MI, Eric Anderson of Ithaca, MI, Jennifer & Jon Adams of Grand Blanc, 4 great grandchildren; Tiffany, Janelle, Courtney, and Kyla and 1 great great grandchild Andrea. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, brother Delmar, sister Phyllis and daughter Mary Ellen Powers.

Memorials may be made to Beebe United Methodist Church. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel, 117 North East Street, St. Louis, MI 48880.
