LolaMae Wieber died March 15, 2009 at the age of 77. Born December 13, 1931 in Fowlerville, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Yelland) Emery. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Ovid, loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, enjoyed shopping and Christmas was her favorite time of year. LolaMae married Arnold Wieber in St. Johns on June 21, 1950 and he survives her.
Also surviving are their children, Duane (Brenda) Wieber of Fremont, Donna (Steve McGinnis) Fruchey of Elsie, Raymond (Allane) Wieber of Ovid, six grandchildren, Benjamin (Carrie) Fruchey, Matthew Fruchey, Kathryn Fruchey, Alison (Jeff Thomas) Wieber, Amanda (Matthew) Ashmore, Anthony (Jessica) Wieber, two great-granddaughters, Lillian and Abigail Ashmore, one sister, Evelyn (Pete) Peters and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating, burial at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m., at the Houghton Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes , 232 E. Oak St., Ovid, MI. Sympathy may be expressed with donations made to Holy Family Catholic Church or the Leukemia Society of Michigan in LolaMae's memory.
