Lori Ann Higgins, age 45, of Owosso, MI passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Judy Hazle will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday January 8, 2011 from 1-8 PM. and Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 12-2 PM at the Funeral Home.
Lori was born in St. Johns, Michigan on July 3, 1965, the daughter of Victor M. and Barbara A. (Watson) Higgins. Lori resided most of her life in Ovid. She graduated from Lansing Everett High School and received her Associates Degree from Mott Community College, Flint. Lori was a member of Shepardsville United Methodist Church.
Lori was a family historian and loved working on ancestry. She also loved collecting Raggedy Ann and Andy items since she was a child. Lori was a fan of Little House on the Prairie and even visited most of the original homesteads. She enjoyed reading books about the Amish and doing jigsaw puzzles. Family was the most important part of her life; she was an inspiration to many.
She is survived by her parents Victor and Barbara Higgins of Ovid, MI; sister Cindy and Joseph Goodman of Flint, MI; nephew Joshua and Talea Fuller of Mt. Morris, MI; niece Jennifer Fuller of Steubenville, OH; great-nephew Joshua Fuller II; great-niece Elizabeth Fuller
Lori is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her special deaf friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert & Shirley Watson and Julius & Gladys Pouillon also great-grandparents Alton & Lettie Sloat, Ellis & Neva Watson and George & Nora Higgins.
