Lorna D. Sebring, age 82, of St. Louis, Michigan died Friday, May 18th, 2012 at her home.
A Graveside Service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery on Wednesday, May 23rd at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Willie Iwankiw will officiate.
Lorna was born in Bethany Township, Michigan on December 18, 1929, the daughter of Jay Leroy and Olive (Downing) Potter. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1948 and resided all of her life in this area.
On February 11, 1950 Lorna married Oran Webster Sebring Jr. in Alma, Michigan. Oran died September 28, 1992. Lorna was very interested in history and genealogy; she was a member of Gratiot County Historical & Genealogical Society, Darke County Ohio Genealogical Society, Downing Genealogical Society, Randolph County, Indiana Historical Society and the St. Louis Historical Society. Lorna retired from Giant Foods in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist, Twin Cities Church St. Louis, Michigan.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Deborah and Earl Fritz of Vestaburg, MI; Terri Sebring of Conway, SC; 2 sons, David and Gail Sebring of Alma, MI; Steven and Karen Sebring of St. Louis, MI; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Sharon and Howard Ruby of St. Johns, MI; 1 brother, Donald and Deloris Potter of Midland, Michigan.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Oran, 1 son, Michael.
