Lucille Ellen Cerny, age 78, of Elsie, MI passed away Wednesday, September 24th, 2008 at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor , St. Johns, Michigan, Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Friday, September 26th at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Edwin Snook will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday 5 - 8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, Michigan.
Lucille was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 14, 1930, the daughter Charles Loren and Alice Janette (Wright) Rings. She was a member of the
VFW Post 1735 Mark Daniels Post, Perrinton, Michigan. She worked as a factory worker at the Ashley Plant, and was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, playing bingo, cards, and playing the Lotto. She especially enjoyed Conway Twitty music.
She is survived by 3 daughters Mari and Tom Pontack of Elsie, Sandra and Pat Flanner of Ovid, Connie and David Nash of Ionia, 3 sons John and Bonnie Chubb of Nashville, TN, Daniel Chubb of Elsie, Charles Cerny of Bannister, the children's father John Cerny of Alma, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by parents, 3 children, 3 sisters & 2 brothers.
