Lucille Schneider

Lucille Marie Schneider, age 85, of Westphalia, MI passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor in St. Johns.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westphalia, Michigan at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 with Rev. Father Eric Weber officiating.   Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at St. Mary's Funeral Chapel.  Rosary Services will be held at 1:30 & 5:30 P.M. on Monday at St. Mary's Funeral Chapel. All memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.

Lucille was born in Westphalia, Michigan on July 22, 1931; the daughter of Roman and Eleanor (Fink) Spitzley.  She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School with the class of 1950.  She married Stanley Schneider on October 3, 1956 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westphalia, Michigan.  They were married 31 years before his death in 1988.

Lucille was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  She loved music and was proud to have been a member of the church choir for 65 years.

Lucille is survived by her children: Kenneth of Lansing and Lynn of Westphalia; her siblings: Gerald (Karen) Spitzley, Dennis (Theresa) Spitzley, Mary Jane (Ervin) Thelen all of Westphalia; and many nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband Stanley, and brother David.
